Dr Sonya Jessup

Profile
Dr Sonya Jessup is a graduate of the University of Auckland and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, gaining her FRANZCOG qualification in 2005. She then transferred to Auckland for two years for advanced training in reproductive medicine and IVF as part of the CREI program.

Her main interests are in fertility medicine encompassing reproductive endocrinology, male infertility and IVF treatment cycles. She has extensive experience in polycystic ovarian syndrome, both as it relates to womens' general health and to fertility. Minimally invasive surgery, open and vaginal surgery are a strong focus for Dr Jessup in her practice. She has much experience in laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis and in the laparoscopic treatment of both tubal and ovarian pathologies.

An Australian originally, Dr Jessup has returned to Brisbane with her husband and four young children to offer a fertility and gynecology service with Wesley Monash IVF based at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane.
